Dear PDG member,

During our next event we will explore innovative and creative ways of problem solving by using the approach of Design Thinking. The workshop will be lead by Alexandra Mollet and Katarzyna Kot.

After the two hour session, as usual, there will be an opportunity for networking and socializing among the participants.

Workshop
Design Thinking is an approach that can help discovering new, innovative ways to solve complex problems. During this workshop participants will learn what design thinking mindset and techniques are and how to apply them. This is a “learning by doing” session with a set challenge.

Understanding people and designing from their perspective helps to create innovative solutions that people embrace. This approach helps uncover the real (business) problem, understand users’ underlying unmet needs and discover new innovative ways to address them.

The participants will take away:
• A new approach to needs discovery characterised by a human-centred mindset – understanding the users’ context and influencers, their values, motivations and frustrations;
• How to identify and define the users’ unmet needs and reframe the problem;
• How to think creatively, using brainstorming techniques to generate out of the box ideas;

Alexandra Mollet
Alexandra has worked with a designers mindset for 17 years on award winning hospitality projects worldwide. She coaches teams to develop a human centred mindset towards their projects with a focus on service orientated sectors such as HR, non profit and hospitality.
