An evening of Malaysian Cuisine & lots of FLAVORS to experience!
Come join me for an evening of immense flavor from where I was born … MALAYSIA!
I am biased, but am not the only person that says Malaysian cuisine is one of the most flavorful. Over the centuries, the Malay Peninsula saw ships arriving from the Middle East, India, Europe, China and Indonesia. This resulted in a melting pot of culture and cuisine that has managed to retain its own unique flavor to this day.
Right here in our backyard is Secret Recipe, Plano. Aside from the delicious range of dishes, Alex the owner and head chef, always finds time to mingle with guests and share a story or two. Alex also very generously donates lunch for the Annual Employment Workshop that the InterNations Volunteer/Changemaker group hosts for refugees each year.
You will have the choice of ordering your own meal off the menu or doing a group order if others want to do so too. I'll be glad to make suggestions when ordering. Approximate spend per person would be in the range of $12-$18 plus tip & tax but will depend on the menu choices you make.
It is BYOB! In case you'd like some suggestions, my personal recommendation for wine with this cuisine in order of my preference (Rioja, Temranillo, Granache, Pinot Noir, and with some dishes Chardonay).
It will be a cozy, intimate setting and yes, we are limited to a max of 15 for dinner. Please only Accept if you know for sure you can attend.
Look forward to sharing a flavorful evening with you!
