Submarine, Protected content

USA. DCP REST. VOSE*. B/N. 93’.
*original version with Spanish subtitles
Two sailors vie for the affections of the same girl. When she chooses one of them, their friendship ends tragically. This situation changes when one of them is trapped in a submarine and the other is sent to rescue him.
Submarine offers a reflection on the relationship between technological progress and human bonds. Technology can present new risks that can be resolved through personal heroism that forges bonds of friendship. Submarine highlights that the challenges of technology are those of a future society, in which the accelerated development of mechanized problem-solving processes, far from demanding a type of person indifferent to others, requires a greater willingness to give to them.
