Samba De Marzo (the Year Only Starts After Carnival!)
Hello fellows! As we say in Brazil, the year only starts after Carnival! 😆🇧🇷🎉
So let's get the "year off" with great music in "roda de samba" style, nice environment, cool drinks and joyful people creating a real festive Brazilian spirit!
🥁 Roda de Samba is an improvisational gathering for samba music, similar to jazz jam sessions. It doesn't require large financial outlays and usually bring together a large number of people who sing and dance around a table, where the musicians play the instruments and sing.
🏡 Born in humble people's backyard ("quintal"), it was originally just a gathering to celebrate African roots, culinary, musical and dance traditions in Brazil. Due to it's simplicity and improvisation, it became quite popular and expanded to other backyards, which ended up into Groups and eventually in the famous Samba Schools ("Escolas de Samba") in the Protected content and Protected content . Nevertheless, the Roda de Samba tradition is one of the most common Brazilian cultural expressions, which can be found everywhere in Brazil.
