Warsaw Festival in Paris!
A concert of Polish romantic melodies by soprano Urszula Szoja-Cuvellier, accompanied by pianist Patrick Ivorra.
On the program, works by two great composers who have marked the history of Polish music, Frédéric Chopin and Stanisław Moniuszko. Both lived at the same time, in the nineteenth century, when Poland, stricken from the map of Europe, fought for its survival. Chopin, who devoted himself to the piano, will be forced into exile.
As for Moniuszko, dedicated to vocal music, he will remain in his country. Two patriotic musicians who supported the hope of the nation to regain its independence and who drew inspiration from popular songs.
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Stanisław Moniuszko, founder of the Polish National Opera.
