In the winter months (June-August) we plant koala trees on private properties on the Western Plains. After five to six years of growth, a tree is big enough to house and feed a koala.

On this day we will be taking a walk along the Moorabool River to search for koalas and birdlife after planting. We will try, but we don’t know the koala population on the Moorabool so please don’t expect to see a koala on this day. Due to the location of the property we will be unable to visit the You Yangs koalas.

09.20am Caltex Bannockburn, Cnr Midland Hwy and Geelong Rd/Shelford-Bannockburn Rd, Bannockburn. We will then travel as a group to the location of the planting. Please do not be late - we will not wait past the pickup time, and as the planting location is private, we will not be able to give out directions.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Transport from the city is available, please book the city transport add on in addition to your ticket. The meeting place is the Protected content . Please arrive before 8:10am as we do not have too much time to wait if you are running late. Google Maps Link :Protected content
