Via Ferrata Brunni Engelberg
Let’s live up to the name of this group and have a bit of adventure together!
Join me for a day of via ferrata in Brunni Engelberg - this is not a hike, but a proper vertical challenge. We’ll start with the Zittergrat route (short but spicy), and if the legs and nerves are still holding, we’ll continue to the Rigidalstockwand or Rigidalstockgrat via ferratas. Expect stunning views, adrenaline, and maybe a few shaky knees.
Important:
- This is not a guided tour. You climb at your own risk and need to know what you're doing. If you’ve never done via ferrata or climbing before, this isn’t the place to start (or you can but again - at your own risk).
- You need proper via ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, ferrata set with shock absorber) - see the picture of an example.
Don’t have your own gear? You can rent it at the gondola station - but they ask to reserve in advance:

Schedule:
- Meeting point: Parking Engelberg-Klostermatte at 09:15
- We’ll take the gondola to Brunnihütte and head straight to Zittergrat.
After the climb(s), we can cool down at the little lake and grab a bite at the mountain restaurant.
Come for the climb, stay for the view, and maybe test your limits a little.
