Forsythe · Kylián · Scholz
For a dozen years, until his death in Protected content , John Cranko allowed the Stuttgart Ballet to achieve a tremendous degree of excellence.
Artists have broken through and become some of the most important creators of our time.
This first evening dedicated to "Great European Choreographers" brings together three of them: William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián and Uwe Scholz.
Although everyone has developed a singular, resolutely contemporary language, all three view the academic vocabulary of ballet as the source of their expression.
Quintett de Forsythe, 27'52 '' of Kylián and Scholz's Young Man are three important works of these choreographers.
The entry into the repertoire of the first two, the resumption of the third, and their opening performance of the Ballet season of the Opéra National du Rhin have the value of manifesto: a great ambition without waiting.
