Weekend Hike Amidst the Apennines
Dear group,
after a long while we’ve arranged another more-than-a-day event!
The weekend hike is going to take place in a land of rare beauty, the Appennino Reggiano.
We’ll arrive there on Friday evening, have a good dinner, watch the stars and get prepared for the day after’s long hike!
On Saturday, a professional guide will let us discover the beauties of this place, in particolar the iconic Pietra di Bismantova, unmistakable for its shape and majesty, rising isolated out of the flat valleys that surround it.
Also, we will explore the area of Gessi Triassici (Triassic Gypsum), Unesco World Heritage site, the oldest karst formation in the Apennines.
We expect to be back in the afternoon at our accommodation place, where we can enjoy the rest of the day reading a book, taking a nap, or simply doing nothing!
On Sunday, we’ll leave our stay in the morning and have a short drive to reach the starting place of our second exploration day: Canossa and its famous Lombard castle.
From there, we’ll drive back home in the afternoon.
Due to the limited amount of characters allowed from the portal, I'll post all the details of the activity in the wall.
General info, IMPORTANT:
• Excursion will take place ONLY if a min number of participants Protected content , is reached.
• Excursion will take place in EVERY kind of weather condition, whenever safety is guaranteed.
• Carpooling will be attempted to reach the starting point but seats for everybody cannot be guaranteed.
