Let's Walk Along an Amazing Stretch of Via Francigena
Dear group,
our excursion will start from Castelfiorentino, an ancient town that arose in a strategic crossroads between the Via Francigena and the Via Volterrana.
From here we will venture into a vast agricultural landscape, characterized by clayey and sandy hills. Along the way, we will admire extraordinary views of the typical rolling hills of Tuscany.
We will then reach the historic Pieve di Coiano, a traditional resting place for pilgrims. Leaving the official route, we will immerse ourselves in little-traveled rural paths.
Upon reaching the vicinity of the Elsa River, we will follow the course of the Scolmatore, which will gently guide us back towards Castelfiorentino.
