The Hermitage in Amsterdam will be showcasing dutch wonders that made the trip specially from the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. They are back "home" after Protected content so let's go see them :)
We will depart around 10am fromProtected content , take the train then metro to arrive to the museum and start our visit.
The museum has a restaurant so we can definitely have a quick bite there for who wants.

"It’s been a long time coming but 7 October is the great day. For the first time in its existence, the Hermitage Amsterdam is mounting a show of Dutch masters from the renowned St Petersburg collection. The Nieuwe Keizersgracht wing will showcase one of the greatest treasures of the State Hermitage: the world’s leading collection of Dutch Golden Age painting outside the Netherlands. No fewer than 63 works by 50 different artists are being brought to Amsterdam for a unique exhibition that will celebrate the paintings first (brief) ‘home-coming’ in Protected content .
The show promises to be a feast of old favourites and new discoveries. It will include six paintings by Rembrandt plus works by big names like Ferdinand Bol, Gerard Dou, Govert Flinck, Frans Hals, Paulus Potter, Jacob van Ruisdael, Jan Steen and many, many more. The glory days of Golden Age painting between Protected content Protected content be lavishly represented by 37 works. The world-famous masterpieces on show will include Rembrandt’s Flora and Young Woman with Earrings, one of Frans Hals’ celebrated male portraits and Bartholomeus van der Helst’s Nieuwmarkt in Amsterdam. But there will also be room for painters whose names are now less familiar: artists like Willem Drost, Jacob Duck, Pieter Janssens Elinga and Emanuel de Witte. The selected works constitute a marvellous collection in their own right: a complete cross-section of the Golden Age of Dutch painting."

Museum (website is not quite clear) but found out the link to the boutique where tickets can be purchased online, it is highly recommended to go for that option (Protected content )

This is for the Dutch Masters but also include their permanent exhibition "Portrait Gallery of the Golden Age", entry time has to be selected so go for 11:00/11:15 or the one after.
Buying the ticket online will avoid us to have to queue but that decision is personal.
