Carmen the Opera
This opera is in French with English subtitles. Carmen is a tragic tale of love, obsession and freedom following the gypsy Carmen and her destructive affair with a devoted soldier is set in Seville, Spain . When Jose murders Carmen in a jealous rage the opera reaches its devastating climax . This work explores powerful themes of desire, masculinity and a woman's defiance against sociatal norms.
