You know them, you've heard about them, you've never been there. The Stockyards!
Let's celebrate Labor Day weekend exploring neighborhoods with labor & industrial heritage.
On Monday, join me for coffee and a treat to gather ourselves and then join my favorite non-profit on a 2-hour walking tour.
The tour of the Stockyards & Central Manufacturing District will explore the history, architecture, and evolution of its eastern tract, as well as the vast expanse of land once home to the Union Stock Yard's packinghouses, processing plants, and cattle pens.
Discover how industrial districts were created and changed throughout the Protected content , peek over the bridge to see the namesake gurgles of Bubbly Creek, and end the day at a brewing company.
After the tour, we can join the tour for a drink or go have lunch on our own.
