The film "La Ragazza Ha Volato" Protected content , directed by Wilma Labate and written by the D'Innocenzo brothers it’s praised for its courage in tackling a difficult subject while avoiding clichés.
Wilma Labate, after a period devoted primarily to documentaries, returns to directing a fiction film, working alongside the D'Innocenzo brothers, who co-wrote the screenplay. In the working-class neighborhoods of Trieste, amid the inertia of dull, ordinary lives, a young teenager is raped. Despite growing up in a non-degraded environment, the girl finds little support and must cope with the trauma alone.
The performance of the protagonist Alma Noce was highly appreciated.
The movie is in Italian with English subtitles.
