Răzvan Florescu is a vibraphonist, composer, and one of the leading figures of the new generation of Romanian jazz musicians. He graduated from the National University of Music Bucharest with a degree in classical percussion and jazz and has made a name for himself in recent years through his participation in prestigious festivals and international competitions. He won the Best Composition award at the Johnny Răducanu International Jazz Competition and was a finalist in the B-Jazz International Competition in Belgium. His debut album, "Sketches" Protected content , also garnered significant international acclaim. Vibraphonist and educator David Friedman praised the album's compositional sophistication and interpretive sensitivity, while Berti Barbera, music critic for Radio România Muzical, highlighted the complexity of the musical conception and the ensemble leader's ability to foster an authentic artistic dialogue within the quartet.
