Movie Weekend Almodovar - Amarga Navidad

Dear Film Lovers,

Let’s enjoy an afternoon at the cinema with the exceptional Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar!

His latest film, "Amarga Navidad", features a wonderful cast including Bárbara Lennie, Victoria Luengo, Leonardo Sbaraglia and Patrick Criado.

A visually stunning and emotionally layered film, it explores grief, complex relationships and the blurred lines between life and fiction. Critics have praised Almodóvar’s signature style and bold storytelling, making this a great pick for anyone who loves thought-provoking cinema and stories that stay with you long after the credits roll.

Reviews: The Guardian "Bitter Christmas is a candidly personal movie, circling around ideas like grief, loss, the vampirism of art and the betrayal involved in basing fictional characters on real people. Perhaps by emphasising this last point, Almodóvar is pre-empting or cauterising a crisis in his own life, showing us a gay male artist’s perspective on the question of whether women are not being given enough credit as the wellspring for inspiration or indeed as artists themselves."

Reddit.com: "Pedro Almodóvar returning to Cannes with Amarga Navidad honestly feels kind of emotional".
