What Is Psychotherapy and How It Can Help You
Veronica Gioscia will explain the difference between cognitive behavioural therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy and mentalization based theory. She will provide practical example how feelings thoughts and behaviours are linked together. She will explain how each approach will offer a different angle in understanding mental health and emotional difficulties and how each approach can offer a different solution.
About Veronica Gioscia
Veronica started her career as Criminal Lawyer, in Italy. In Protected content moved to the UK and in Protected content completed a Master in Science in Counselling Psychology. She has been working for the NHS since Protected content , at St Thomas Hospital in the Health Psychology department dealing with chronic health conditions, at the Maudsley and King’s College Hospital in primary care and for the IAPT service and recently in the personality disorder team. She reduced her NHS work to one day a week and has a busy private practice. She helps people with a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, difficulties with relationship, work problems, borderline personality disorder, health anxieties and post traumatic stress disorder.
