Let's Cook Together evening
Hi everyone, join in for an evening of cooking a simple but flavorful dinner. We’ll be cooking all together and then sharing dinner and conversation in breakout rooms. We will begin promptly at 6:05 as we will all be hungry. Wine or drinks is highly recommended! The host will be available to move people around so you can mingle.
This is a “let’s all cook together” evening, not really a cooking class but I will mention a few tips. If you have nut allergies, leave them out. For the chilli’s, buy the heat level that you like. I’ve chosen food from different cuisines that go nicely together selected from simple, easy recipes.
Please read the details below for the ingredients for our recipes. We will do the prep in the session, no problem if you start early and prep ahead.
Sticky Teryaki Aubergine -Serves Protected content Asian style)
1 large aubergine, Protected content
1-2 spring onions
1 fresh red or yellow chilli
20 g unsalted peanuts or other nut
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
Spicey Lamb burgers (Indian style)
Substitute Chicken, Turkey or veg replacement per your preference
Makes 4 large burgers
800g lamb mince
1 large red onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, finely grated
2 long green chilies, finely chopped
1-1½ tsps salt
4 tsps. Ground coriander
2 tsps. Ground cumin
Handful of fresh coriander –chopped
Optional for serving:
4 x burger buns, warmed
8 little gem lettuce leaves, shredded
2 tomatoes thickly sliced or roughly chopped
