2000 Meters to Andriivka - DOCUMENTARY (Italian Subtitles)
Original language is a mix of: English, Ukraine and Russian.
Director, journalist, writer, and photojournalist Mstyslav Chernov returns to narrate a portion of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The documentary centers on a Ukrainian platoon tasked with marching through a forest strewn with explosives to liberate Andriivka, a strategically located village now reduced to rubble. The story follows the soldiers' march, while footage from bodycams, drones, and helmet-mounted Go-Pro cameras creates a unique sense of proximity and immersion. In the background, the desolate landscape, reminiscent of the devastated lands of World War I, symbolizes the cruelty of a war that appears dramatically intractable.
