Refugio De Juanar Circular Hike

A little known route from Refugio de Juanar, using the La Concha approach , then taking in part of the pass over to Istan and returning down El Pozulea (5 valleys).
8km with 300m of ascent; should take 3.5 hrs.
It is steep and rocky in sections with the need to use your hands to steady yourself, making it MODERATE (suitable for people with a reasonable level of Fitness).
Drinks at the Refugio after.
09.50 for a 10.00 departure from the parking just above the Refugio where the road splits around a tree. There is no phone reception there so please ensure you know exactly where you’re going.
Bring plenty of water and a snack for the halfway stop.

PLEASE NOTE: NO ONE WEARING INAPPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR WILL BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE HIKE

Appropriate footwear is hiking boots or shoes with a proper deep tread. Trainers with flat soles have caused accidents on our hikes and therefore are no longer permitted.
