Hike to Oestrich-Winkel Including Dinner

We commence our hike from the heart of Wiesbaden at Protected content , venturing northwestward, passing through Schlangenbad, then ascending further into the mountain expanse. Our route veers southward, guiding us through Vollradser Wäldchen, before a descent through scenic vineyards beckons us toward our final haven: the picturesque village of Oestrich-Winkel, nestled along the tranquil banks of the Rhine River.

Spanning approximately 35 km Protected content with an elevation gain of 700m (2,000 ft), our trail meanders across suburban lanes, woodland glades, and undulating pathways. For your comfort and preparedness, I advise carrying a backpack stocked with essentials, including weatherproof attire and a change of garments.

At 8 PM, a culinary delight awaits us at Allendorf Am Rhein, a local gastronomic gem renowned for its exquisite fare. Savor a delectable array of dishes, featuring fresh seafood, succulent oysters, and a curated selection of fine wines. Our evening culminates with a leisurely train journey back to Wiesbaden Central Station, a mere 24 minutes away, completing our memorable escapade amidst nature's embrace.

There are trains to Wiesbaden leaving at 21:01, 22:01, and 23:01 from Oestrich-Winkel train station and busses leaving at 20:19 and 21:19 from Mittelheim Bahnhof/Altersheim, Oestrich-Winkel.
