Sunday Volunteering at Willing Hearts Kitchen

Let’s spend a meaningful Sunday morning together supporting Willing Hearts, a volunteer-run soup kitchen that prepares and distributes thousands of meals every day to those in need across Singapore. 

What we’ll do
Between 9:00 and 12:00, we’ll join the kitchen team and help with tasks such as:
•Washing, peeling and chopping vegetables
•Packing cooked food into meal boxes
•Basic cleaning and tidying of the work area

No special skills are required – the staff and regular volunteers will show us what to do.

Schedule (approx.)
•08:50 – Meet at Willing Hearts main gate / guardhouse
•09:00 – Registration, quick briefing & assignment of tasks
•09:15 – Start volunteering in the kitchen / packing area
•11:45 – Clean-up and group photo
•12:00 – End of activity

Dress code & what to bring
•Closed-toe shoes (no slippers, sandals or heels) 
•T-shirt with sleeves and bottoms you don’t mind getting stained
•Long hair tied up
•No jewellery (earrings, bracelets, rings, etc.)
•Optional: your own apron and a small towel

Hair nets and gloves are usually provided on-site.

Who can join
•InterNations members and approved guests
•Please only RSVP if you are sure you can come – slots are limited and Willing Hearts depends on confirmed volunteers to run the kitchen smoothly.

If you have any medical condition or mobility issues, let me know in advance so I can assign you a suitable task.
