Lot of Science in a Firework

Did you know those amazing colours we take for granted every time we see a firework are carefully calculated in a laboratory?
Each element has its own colour, Crimson Red for Lithium, Bright Yellow for Sodium, Blue Green, must be copper but more on that later.
Let’s watch one of the best firework displays around on the beach at Enoshima, The Fujisawa Enoshima Fireworks famous for 30 minutes, Protected content items. To make it even more fun I want to catch the roller-coaster ride on the Shonan Monorail from Ofuna (just 40 mins from Tokyo station).
Let’s meet at 3pm, plenty of time to grab a coffee, checkout one of Enoshima’s most sacred temples including the execution site before we head for the beach for fireworks at 6.
Suggest bringing a mat to sit on and maybe a note pad if you want to join the competition for spotting the most elements in the display and the chance to win a prize! OR just come along and enjoy with Internations friends.
Looking forward to welcoming you
