Wine Discovery - Roter Hang

Join us on June 14th for a special wine adventure at the legendary Roter Hang in Nierstein – one of the world’s most iconic wine terroirs!

We’ll meet at Mainz Central Station at 13:00 and take the 13:22 train together to Nierstein. After a short walk through the town, we’ll visit Weingut Heise, where we’ll enjoy a refreshing glass of Riesling, water, and a guided cellar tour.

Then we’ll hike through the vineyards to the top of the Roter Hang, where breathtaking views await — along with a chance to taste exceptional local wines right where they’re grown. As the evening sets in, we’ll join the Riesling Lounge with DJ Chappi, music, and more wine.

🍷 Please note: this is a self-paid event. All food and drinks are at your own cost. Tasting samples range from €1.50–3.00 per 50 mL, and you’ll need to buy a wine glass on site, which you can keep as a souvenir.

🥪 There will be food stands, but we recommend bringing your own snacks and water, especially for the walk.

👟 Wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather, and don’t forget sun protection. Final details will be sent a day before.
