Traditional Easter Bonfires
Finnish folk art and fire
Bonfires were lit, because people in the old days believed that Fire and Smoke, would ward off evil spirits.
A Finnish Easter tradition, for those of us still in Helsinki for the season.
Bring your (nice) friends and family members, but only if you want to.
If you miss us on the bridge meeting point, look out for us later at your own pace.
But be aware this could be a busy public, outdoor event and chasing a group is never easy.
