Jazz Picnic on the River: Fostina Dixon & Winds of Change

No site reservation needed. Just bring something to sit on and let's enjoy the music and setting sun. Combining smooth tunes with beautiful Hudson River Park evenings, these shows are unlike any other in Manhattan.
Fostina Dixon is a composer, vocalist, and jazz soloist who plays soprano, alto, baritone saxes; flute; and clarinet. She has been a guest soloist with Abbey Lincoln, Barry Harris, Earl May, and the Big Apple Jazz Women, and has worked with Gil Evans, Roy Ayers, Tom Browne, Charli Persip, Melba Liston, Cab Calloway, Slide Hampton, Frank Foster, Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson, Sammy Davis, Jr., Prince, and Marvin Gaye, with whom she toured for four years. The Founder and longtime Executive Director of the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band, she has also released five albums as a leader.
