Sansarak Canyon is located 17 kilometers Northeast of İznik county on South side of Marnara Sea near the VIllage of Sansarak. Attracting not only mountaineering clubs and photographers from outside the city, the Sansarak Canyon where the rocky creek flows, holds a semi-difficult course with a length of 7 kilometers and considered the most popular canyon in the region. "A Must Do'. Our guide who is a real character from the village, is the most experienced and well~known guide for this particular canyon.
The creek flowing in front of the watermill is crossed and the riverbed on the left is followed for our particular route this weekend. The path passes sometimes through bushes and trees, is partially invisible due to the intense forest so we will pay attention to where the guide is at all times ;). The place where the path leads to the riverbed is covered by moss, thus very slippery. Therefore, this walk requires walking shoes that will not slip on the slippery surfaces. The semi-difficult main course is 1,7 kilometer long. The Kayalıdere water, flowing along the canyon, is clean and the pools seen along the course are very suitable for swimming. We will also swim in the lagoon with a waterfall where the most recent Tulin Sahin shampoo commercial is shot ;))
