Join Turkey’s most renowned mycologist, Jilber Barutçiyan, for an unforgettable mushroom-hunting experience. Holding a rare mushroom studies diploma from Switzerland’s Ministry of Health, Jilber—also known as the *Mushroom Man*—is a diver, climber, cave explorer, wine specialist, and expert in all things fungi.

On this delightful spring weekend, we’ll explore Yenice Forest, nestled between Safranbolu and Kastamonu, during peak mushroom season. Over two days, Jilber will also guide us through hands-on training in a historic Ottoman mansion.

What You’ll Learn
Turkey is home to a vast array of valuable mushroom species. But how do you distinguish the edible from the deadly? Are mushrooms really a good source of protein? Should they be washed before cooking? Which variety has a distinct anise scent? From their geological significance to their culinary potential, Jilber will unveil the fascinating *Delicious, Deadly, Surprising World of Mushrooms*—sharing expert tips and the golden rules of foraging.

Bonus Excursion:
To conclude our journey, we’ll visit İnebolu, a charming coastal town in Kastamonu, known for its vibrant seafaring culture and annual open-sea sailing race.
