Urbanwalk : A Journey through Architecture and Memory
Echoes of Lisbon: An Architectural Journey
This July, we will stand together in the streets of Lisbon. Looking, listening, and pausing on historic staircases. The city is not a distant place; it lives in our footsteps. Every step is a memory, a demand, a possibility.
Join us for an immersive urban walk through the early 20th century, supported by the Lisbon Municipality GEO. This journey is crafted for architecture enthusiasts and history lovers.
Highlights:
Ernst Korrodi’s Legacy: Explore 3 magnificent structures by the award-winning architect. Also other Valmor Prize Masterpieces: Discover 4 other iconic, award-winning buildings of the era.
Exclusive Insight: Co-organized by Miguel Korrodi, the architect’s great grandson, who will guide us through these landmarks in Portuguese and English.
The Route: We begin near Marquês de Pombal at Rua Viriato and conclude at Rua Ferreira Borges, south of Campo de Ourique.
Capture the Memory: If you photograph the journey, selected shots will be featured in an e-exhibition at capturelisbon.com.
A city is not just stone and mortar; it is the footsteps that bring it to life. Join us this July to not just see Lisbon, but to feel it. Let your steps become a new possibility for Lisbon’s history.
Important Registration Note: Slots are strictly limited. Please register only if your attendance is 100% confirmed. If you are unsure or tentative, kindly leave the spot open for others.
