Illusions Regained, Digital Arts Exhibition Opening

New utopias in the digital age
as part of Némo - Biennale internationale des arts numériques de la Région Île-de-France
This looks really interesting and they always have compelling events at CentQuatre Paris. Free entry on opening day with lots of exciting activities to behold. We can explore the exhibition and then gather for a coffee afterwards.
In a world revolutionized by digital technologies, illusion is proving to be a critical, speculative and poetic tool. Combining artificial intelligence, regenerated nature and positive science fiction, the exhibition explores old and new utopias through some thirty works.
Immersive paintings whose characters begin to sing, voices that metamorphose into landscapes, plants that feed images, or fictions that resurrect the past and visualize the future... Each work presented pushes back the limits of perception and reality, revealing alternative worlds where humans cohabit with nature and machines.
Between science and myth, memory and data, the artists explore the relationship between the living, technology and the imaginary. Here, utopias are no longer futuristic promises but hybrid spaces, oscillating between nostalgia and speculation. These are illusions we thought we'd lost, and which digital technology reveals in another world, our own!
