Theater Play in Kadikoy
Hello everyone,
Here comes the last theater event of the season.
“Bir Kadının Kavgaları ve Dönüşümleri” (A Woman's Battles and Transformations) is a play written by Édouard Louis, a contemporary French writer.
The play is based on the authors' memoir widely adapted for the stage internationally. It explores the tenderness, trauma and slow reconciliation between Louis and his working-class mother, tracking her liberation from an oppressive, poverty-stricken marriage. Hence, the play draws particular attention to themes such as social inequality, toxic masculinity, homophobia and class migration.

We will meet half an hour before the play in the theater building to chat and have a cup of coffee/tea in the cozy cafeteria. We will also get a drink and/or an early dinner after the play with the people who are interested.
