Come and join me on a day trip to explore the ancient city of York - a historic city full of quintessential British charm, with winding streets, historical buildings and a magnificent cathedral which impressively dominates the surroundings.

There are plenty of things to do in Lincoln, you are free to choose what activity you would like to do:
- Protected content
- Visit the stunning York Minstrel, the largest medieval Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. You can also climb the Central Tower for some marvellous views of the city.
- Visit the Yorkshire Museum where you can explore York's medieval history through interactive activities. The building is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the remains of an abbey, on the banks of the River Ouse.
- Travel back in time at JORVIK Viking Centre, one of the UK’s most popular attractions, to see how the city looked in 975AD. You can see real remains of 1,000 year old houses beneath your feet, proof that you're standing in a very old city!
- Wander around the Shambles and walk around the city walls, which will offer a unique, elevated perspective of the city and are a great way to explore it.

*Note: I have already bought my tickets as there are advance reduced prices and I have to stick to the times mentioned.
Up to you if you want to buy the tickets in advance as well, but the prices are very likely to go up as we go closer to the trip dates.
Also, please note I will not travel back to London on 15 Sept, but stay overnight in York and go to visit Knaresborough and take the train back from there on Sunday.
