French composer Mel Bonis ( Protected content ) was one of the first women to study at the Conservatoire in Paris. She created a wonderful oeuvre in the style of French late Romanticism. This includes virtuoso concert pieces and the female portraits "Femmes de Légende," which draw on ancient mythology and the theatrical world of William Shakespeare.
Pianist Alexander Schröder studied at the Munich University of Music with Prof. Gerhard Oppitz. This was followed by various international masterclasses and awards. For many years, he has lived in the Ruhr region as his artistic center. He is particularly interested in unusual concert projects. His musical approach is guided by the French piano school—"toucher le piano"—and its use of diverse timbres.
