Dogolympics 1st Edition

The first edition of the Brussels 'Dogolympics' will be held inProtected content in September, announced Brussels city councillor for Sport and Animal Welfare Florence Frelinx (MR).

During these first 'Dog Olympics,' owners and their dogs can participate in competitions, such as the canicross (2.5 km or 5 km), skill and obedience games, dog-handler challenges, guided walks and even dog yoga sessions.

The event, which is free and open to everyone (from experienced athletes to leisurely (dog) walkers, children, and everyone who is curious enough to stop by), aims to "promote animal welfare through play and exercise.

There will also be a photo booth, mini-pools for dogs, a chill-out area, a food truck, an ice cream parlour and a number of activities for children. Participants can also get certificates to take home.

First amateur canicross of Brussels
Canicross of 2.5 km (start at 2 pm)
Canicross of 5 km (start at 3 pm)
Group walk of 2.5 km (start at 4:30 pm)
Dogs on a lead (from 12 years old)
