Free Symphony Concert: Tribute to Gneissenau + Drinks

This tribute concert as part of the program of events commemorating the 125th anniversary of the sinking of the German corvette SMS Gneisenau, which occurred in December Protected content the coast of Malaga port. That event, tragic in its human consequences, gave rise to an exemplary response from the citizens of Malaga, who came to the aid of the shipwrecked in a display of solidarity that remains etched in the collective memory. The concert proposes a musical journey that articulates the sea, memory, mourning, and legacy, establishing a dialogue between German and Spanish musical traditions. Through symphonic, vocal, and instrumental works, the program evokes the sea as the setting for the tragedy, the contemplation of loss, and ultimately, the human and cultural bond that arose from that historical event.

Music thus becomes a space for shared remembrance and recognition of those who lost their lives, as well as the city of Málaga, whose solidarity transformed a tragedy into a lasting symbol of encounter between peoples.
