A Legendary Asian Film Director
This is a special evening dedicated to Tsui Hark's cinema - one of the most influential and renowned Asian film directors, not only in his native Hong Kong but also in the world, throughout his career spanning over 40 years.
Often described as "Steven Spielberg of Asia", he is seen as a visionary director who has revolutionized the Asian film industry with his films that are truly masterpieces with magnificent cinematography, spectacular modern techniques, while deeply rooted in Chinese culture, mythology and history.

* In the first part of the evening, we'll attend a conference (in French) about Tsui Hark's cinema by a French cinema critic.
In the second part, there's a screening of "The Lovers" by Tsui Hark (in original version with French subtitles), at 20h30.
* The evening is part of the new retrospective series "Portrait of Hong Kong" at Forum des Images.
