Chinese New Year 2020 part II
By popular demand we do another Chinese New Year pop-up. As a head's up this event is already nearly full because of the wait list from the last event.
The date of the 25th actually falls on the first day of Chinese New Year. The meal begins with your participation with 'You Sang' (Lou Hei) - Raw fish salad. This is known as 'Tossing the fish' and is of Cantonese origin. Everyone at the table is required to add a specific ingredient to the main dish (you will be given this to do) and as you add it you should wish something for everyone for the new Chinese year (Year of the Rat). Once done everyone is required to toss the salad shouting out Lou Hei, incorporating the wishes into the food we eat.
