What is Ashoka?
Ashoka is a global network of systemic change-makers that aims at altruistic goals in ninety countries.
Jerry White became senior Ashoka fellow in Protected content .
Jerry White lost his right leg in Israel during summer vacation due to Landmine when he was a student.
He established International Campaign to Ban Landmines and impacted the U.S. governmental policy.
At the same time, he cofounded Survivor Corps which provide artificial legs/arms, counseling and vocational training etc.
In April Protected content was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary for Partnerships and Learning at the US State Department's Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO). While at CSO, he was responsible for strategic planning for the Bureau, and he introduced advanced conflict analytics and agent-based modeling to develop data-driven strategies to counter the spread of violence across the Middle East and North Africa.
He is currently professor at University of Virginia as well as co-chairman of Global Covenant Partners.
