Stoos - Klingenstock - Fronalpstock - Stoos

The ridge hike from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock offers one of the most spectacular views in Central Switzerland. An afternoon hike will allow us avoid the morning crowds, and those who are able to stay a bit can enjoy the Autumn Equinox sunset (OK, we'll be one day early). To get there: Drive to the Stoosbahn Talstation or take the B Protected content (direction Muotathal, Hölloch) to Schwyz, Stoosbahn. Get ready to experience the steepest funicular railway in the world as it transports us to the car-free village of Stoos, Protected content above sea level. Yet another marvel of Swiss engineering, the Stoos funicular railway has a gradient of 110%, with round cars that roll gently to keep riders upright at all times. From Stoos, there are several ways to get to Klingenstock, but we will take the chairlift like most sane people. The hike from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock takes just over 2 hours along the ridge , where there is a choice of taking another chair lift back to Stoos. These are some of the most stunning views in Switzerland, so don't miss it!
