Miami Film Festival is a celebration of thought-provoking international cinema for a diverse audience of movie lovers.
Based on the true story of one of Argentina’s most infamous criminals, El Angel highlights the origins of Carlos Robledo Puch, the teenage baby-faced serial killer whose murder spree dominated national headlines in Argentina during the early Protected content . What begins as a series of milder crimes for Carlos quickly escalates into a series of ruthless killings. Guided by his blonde curls and angelic demeanor, he manages to lure his victims one by one.
Luis Ortega is an Argentine director and screenwriter. His first feature film, Black Box Protected content , written when he was 19 years-old, stood out amongst Argentinian film critics. His films Monoblac Protected content , The Dirty Saints Protected content Lulu Protected content premiered at the Toronto International Film Festiva and were featured in many others worldwide. El ángel premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
