Unstitched - Breaking the Patterns of Shame (Art Exhibition)

Here is some additional info on the show: The solo exhibition Unstitched: Breaking the Patterns of Shame by Leia Mocan challenges dominant societal perceptions of the female body, inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationships with intimacy, shame, and identity. Framed through a deeply feminist lens, the work offers a space to reclaim bodily agency and confront inherited taboos.
Developed through a process of self-exploration and collective participation, the piece was created in partnership with volunteers from the Moon Mná Women’s Celtic Circle, who contributed personal acts of reclamation.
The project also features a sound collaboration with audio artist Ain Soph, further enriching its immersive experience.
This body of work seeks to unravel internalized narratives, examining how repression shapes self-perception and restricts personal freedom. The act of creation itself became both a rebellion and a ritual of healing—transforming silence into dialogue, and shame into a powerful gesture of embodied resistance.
The exhibition opening, taking place on Tuesday, 12th August from 6:00 PM, will feature a wine and canapés reception
