Volunteering for the Priya Means Love 5K Walk

The Priya Means Love 5k Fundraiser walk is an annual event that brings the community together for various causes. This year, they are raising awareness for child development services for at risk children ( Protected content ) and animal welfare ( Protected content ).

Volunteers are needed in several key areas, with shifts primarily between 6:30 AM and12:00 PM at Crescent Bay Park, Santa Monica. Below are the volunteer activities and shifts:

Event Set-Up and Clean-Up
- Set-Up Team (6:30–7:30 AM): help assemble registration tables, canopies, stage, PA system, and traffic cones.
- Clean-Up Team (11:00 AM–12:00 PM): dismantle equipment and clean up the event space.

Participant Support
- Registration Booth (7:00–10:00 AM): Eventbrite check-in
(training provided) and T-shirt distribution.
- Heat Group Leader (8:45–10 AM): Lead the heat groups through the full 5k walk

Logistics
- Parking Guides (7:00–9:00 AM): direct attendees from the parking area.
- Water Station Crew (9:00 AM–12:00 PM): hand out water at the
water station and collect trash.
