2 dance films: "The Body as Archive" + "Butterfly Soul"
In collaboration with the German Dance archive,Protected content
on Friday November 3: The documentary film "The Body as Archive" by the Belgian dancer and filmmaker Michael Maurissens ( MichaelDouglas collective) and the poetic Dance "butterfly Soul" by French choreographer Eric Oberdorff.
At the end of the event there is the possibility to meet the directors of both films as well as Thomas Seleção, as part of a comfortable public conversation. See below for more information.
"The body as Archive" is a documentary based on a research that looks at the different ways in which the dancer's body can be seen as an archive. The film explores the role of the dancer in preserving collective knowledge, sharing and accessibility.
The Dance "Butterfly Soul" from the year Protected content also looking for a search. The focus is on the uniqueness and fragility of every artistic personality and the creative process that emanates from it. The director Eric Oberdorff relies entirely on the narrative power of the music of the composer Merakhaazan and the choreographic design of the dancer Cécile Robin Prévallée. A movie like a poem.
