One dress unites the world! 25 meters of red silk from Paris, 85 panels of fabric decorated with Protected content from fifty countries: The Red Dress is more than just a dress – it is a work of art, a peace project and a carrier medium of stories, traditions and styles from all over the world.
British artist Kirstie Macleod launched The Red Dress in Protected content . For 13 years now, the dress has been travelling around the world and is enriched from country to country, from woman to woman, each with an embroidery motif. Now it is coming to Germany for the first time and will be embroidered live by the artist Helga Mols.
