From 26 to 28 September, Flush returns: an independent feminist publishing festival dedicated to contemporary feminist publishing—both print and born-digital.

For this fifth edition, we chose to highlight the many ways in which feminism—and LGBTQIA+ movements—have expressed themselves through irony and creativity as tools for subverting their own conditions of oppression.

The forms this “fabulous revolution” has taken over time, through performative and transformative practices, are many: from publications to public squares, artistic and visual representations to digital self-narratives.

Through this lens, the festival invites reflection on the role of different creative languages in strengthening a new collective imagination—one able to weave together diverse struggles, overturn dominant narratives with sarcasm, and become an irreverent protagonist of its own story.

All this unfolds through talks, workshops, book and DIY publishing exhibitions, beers and social gatherings.

We open festively on Friday 26 at 6:30 p.m. and will wag our tails among print and digital publications on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28, from 11:00 a.m. until evening
