On the occasion of the celebrations for the twentieth anniversary of his death, the great Florentine journalist and writer comes back to life in his neighbourhood, Monticelli, through the intimate testimonies of those who knew him well: Angela Terzani Staude, his wife; Fabio Terzani, the cousin; Massimo Mangialavori, the homeopathic doctor who accompanied him in the final phase of his life.
The occasion is given by the presentation of the book "Tiziano Terzani mi disse" by the Florentine journalist Jacopo Storni, present at the meeting, an unpublished portrait of Terzani, a journey through the voices of those who loved him and the places of his roots: from Malmantile, the village of his stonemason ancestors in Monticelli, the working-class neighborhood of Florence where he was born and raised; from Pisa, where he studied at the Normale, to Vinci, where he married Angela, the beacon of his life; from Bellosguardo, the Florentine hill of artists, where his house still stands to the basilica of San Miniato, where he took refuge after 9/11; up to Orsigna, eternal love, where he chose to "leave his body".
A book-journey along the roads and paths in which Terzani began to question himself about the world, about life, a journey that dismantles the stereotypes of the guru writer, and which reveals the essence of a restless but curious, fragile but determined man, looking for somewhere else but proud of one's origins.
