Workshop How to Draw & Build Art&Crafts -Artist Angela Dias

‘At the Sound of the Reeds’, rolling colours.
Following the 15th of April – World Art Day, the Tagide restaurant ( Protected content ) is welcoming a workshop with Angela Dias, where you can experiment with new drawing techniques and learn to build art & crafts.
Afterwards, try one of their white/red wine cocktails with homemade focaccia.
The artist starts by establishing the relationship between the drawing process & handcrafted objects with natural elements and multicore wool yarn, a brief presentation of some of the artist's drawings and a demonstration of her creative process. Then we move on to treating the coloured threads, creating different combinations of solid materials such as natural wood & other soft materials, alluding to figurative forms. The next step is the drawing phase based on the blind drawing technique, in which we create representative drawings of objects evoking memories/allusions to the imagination. The aim is to produce a set of drawings to be displayed on a coloured background to blend with Tagide’s 'mood'.
Angela was born in Lisbon. Studied Advanced Visual Arts Course & Basic Study Plan in Painting at Ar.Co, an exchange between Lisbon & Budapest Art Gallery and Theory & Practice of Painting and Drawing Course at ArteIlimitada. Working since the 90s, she has participated in several collective exhibitions and in recent years in individual exhibitions.
