Cozy meet up with the African sculptor, Toure Yacouba, in the private space.
He lives constantly in Burkina Faco, in the capital Ouagadougou and after participating in French and Swiss expositions he comes to Lisbon only for few days.
He inherits his mastership in bronze casting from his ancestors. Yet his grand-grand father participated in Paris World Expo more than Protected content ago.
Currently Toure Yacoube promotes the Burkinabee bronze art around the world and connects traditions of the past with contemporary world, adjusting to his art his personal feeling.
His workshop, located at the Choreography Development Center La Termitière in Ouagadougou, hosts dance performances and choreographic creation residencies.
This was the reason why his encounter with dance in Protected content , at the "Dialogue de corps" festival in Ouagadougou, is decisive for the rest of his career and directs him to an animated approach to movement, inspired by the games of light and shadow, the body and music.
