Exhibition Invoking Silence | Orient Museum

Opening on 22 September, 6pm, the exhibition Invoking Silence. Biocultural Harmony in Indonesia explores silence and the biocultural balances established between people, nature and the spiritual. The exhibition features two guest artworks from the Museu das Convergências, in dialogue with rarely exhibited pieces from Fundação Oriente's own collections.Until 27 September, a programme of workshops reveals different facets of this pursuit of harmony: the cultivation of sacred rice and its deities, shadows that tell stories, dances that guard the balance between good and evil, martial arts that align body and mind, and traditional music played in community.
