Managing risks in online communities: a collaborative approach

Communities grow beginning from the information that is available to them. The digital space is now increasingly important, as social actors need to educate not just entertain. A much needed shift to empower engagement for lasting change.
Join us this Thursday to understand how communities can be supported through quality information and a collaborative approach for action research.
Speaker: Dr Zhraa A. Alhaboby
Qualified medical doctor (MBBS), with a master’s degree in International Primary Healthcare from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry -Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and PhD from the Institute for Health Research, University of Bedfordshire. Worked with multidisciplinary research teams and funded projects related to cyber-victimisation and chronic conditions, runs diabetes peer support groups in East London, and using innovative technologies in healthcare. Currently, a lecturer and researcher in Public Health at the University of Wolverhampton, with peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research candidates. Actively involved in health promotion campaigns and designing culturally sensitive health promotion educational activities.
